Hi there, I’m Samantha Greenlee.

I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in Saratoga, CA. where I have been working with teens, adults, and partners to address a broad spectrum of anxiety and relationship challenges and life transitions since 2011.

I specialize in treating anxiety in individuals and partners. My goal is to help clients feel happier, whether that’s done in one session in which we explore a single event or through a prolonged series of visits to address deep-rooted negative patterns of behavior. Many of my recurring clients return on an as-needed basis to navigate life changes or challenges as they arise. This is your journey, so we’ll make it work for you.

My approach is direct, authentic, compassionate, and tailored to each client. Everyone’s needs are different, so I adapt my style accordingly. As a client, you will guide our discussions, and I will comment on the feelings and behaviors that could use further exploration. This is a process to lead you to a better understanding of your own triggers. You will learn to identify the root of your own emotions and eventually manage your anxiety on your own.

It is a process, but it’s one that works. The first step is helping you to understand why these feelings are happening, then we will work on building coping skills and paving a path to get you feeling stable, safe, and comfortable.

I received my MA in Counseling Psychology with a specialization in Mindfulness Based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy in 2012 and my BS in Psychology in 2009, both from Santa Clara University. In 2014, after 3000 intern hours and 2 board exams, I became a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist issued by the Board of Behavioral Sciences.

I am a member of Sigma Xi, the National Honor Society for Psychological Research and currently an adjunct lecturer for my alma mater, SCU MA program.
